If you’re living life at the speed of light, don’t think your family isn’t suffering.
Family time is a sacred thing — especially if you want your kids to have good memories of their childhood. Sadly, most families today are so busy they seldom have time to just relax and be together. The best way to fix this problem is to … well, fix the problem! That means making a conscious decision to slow down and to cut back. And to expect the same from your kids.
Begin by scheduling at least three days a week where everybody eats dinner together. I said together, that means no phones, iPads, iPods etc. on or near the table. Then block off enough time for good conversation. You might also set aside an evening a week as a designated family night. You can play games or just make popcorn and watch a movie together.
Family time doesn’t just happen. You have to make it happen.
