2021 Every Mum Conference

Friday 15th to Saturday 16th October 2021– online or at an in-person hub

Register for the conference here.

WHEN:  MOPS Australia will host an online conference called Every Mum Conference on Saturday 16 October 2021.

WHO:  The Conference is open to anyone who wishes to attend – MOPS Leaders & Mentors, MOPS Mums, past leaders and mums, women in your church, Jane Bloggs off the street: seriously, everyone’s welcome!

WHAT:  It will be promoted as a Christian women’s conference with focused sessions on parenting, leadership, spiritual growth and more. The keynote address from Mandy Arioto will still be based around our theme for next year, ALL FOR LOVE, and the theme verse from 1 Corinthians 13, but in a way that is not MOPS-specific, but applicable to all women.

HOW:  The sessions will all be pre-recorded but will “Go Live” to stream at the times scheduled in the Agenda, and then be available on-demand as soon as the session finishes. Workshop session facilitators will be online at the time of their session – the “live” element will be AEST timezone, so each timezone agendas will vary slightly so that their workshop sessions will also be at the same time, and obviously if you are watching any session on-demand afterwards the facilitator will not be online. When you register, you will select your workshop options to “attend” on the day – these will show up on your personal agenda when you log in – but all sessions for all workshops will be available to all attendees in the on-demand section for 90 days after the conference weekend. Nobody misses out on any of the speakers, choosing a specific session on the day will just allocate you to a session and therefore the relevant discussion group on that topic for the “live event”.

TICKETS:  Every single person who wishes to attend/watch/have access to the 2021 Every Mum Conference needs to register. Tickets will be $40.00 per person, with an early bird price of $30.00 available until mid-August. This is required for everyone, whether or not they plan to watch at home alone or with someone else or at a local hub, as this will provide each delegate with a dedicated login to the platform – this will also ensure that everyone has access to the Conference regardless of any restrictions that may force unforeseen changes to local hubs. A Welcome Bag is included in the registration fee and will be sent closer to the conference time – those who register to attend a hub will have their bag sent (in bulk) to the hub for collection on the day. (There will be a cut-off date to receive it at the hub).

> For MOPS Leaders: On the evening of Friday 15 October 2021, MOPS Australia will run special sessions to launch our All For Love theme for 2022 and celebrate the 21st birthday of MOPS Australia. This will be optional for non-MOPS leaders who wish to celebrate and find out more about MOPS, but will be clearly advertised as a MOPS-specific, optional extra to the Saturday Conference. Groups and/or States may wish to participate/watch the Friday night sessions together. There is no additional cost to register for the Friday night as well as Saturday. All current MOPS Leaders and Field Leaders are requested to attend the Friday night.

Local Hubs:  The MOPS community have been invited to host local hubs that will offer an in-person experience showing the same content as the online conference, but offer the opportunity for connection and discussion together. Attending a hub is an optional extra – we plan to finalise all details with those hosting a local hub over the month of July and into August, with details available publicly (late August/early September) with the options available to attend an in-person hub in your region. Groups/states may choose to gather but keep it closed for current MOPS Leaders only – or may be happy to open up attendees to anyone who has registered for the online conference in your area – past, present or new mum/leader, a Christian woman in your church, or simply just a member of the public in your area that heard about it.

Please note: as the offerings at each local hub will vary, tickets to attend an in-person gathering may incur an additional fee to cover venue or catering costs. Each hub ticket price will be set by the organiser of the hub. Locations of local hubs are determined by those in each region willing and able to host a gathering – anyone (individual or church) interested in hosting a conference hub for their community or region on Saturday 16 October 2021 is asked to contact MOPS Australia at mopsconference@gmail.com ASAP.
