Being a parent can sometimes be a tough gig! Just as we think we have a handle on where our kids are at, there is a new development to get used to and new parenting skills required. While friends can often be a great source of encouragement and help, there are many helpful parenting resources that can provide information, guidance and encouragement.
Reading to your children can be a lovely bonding experience, and has so many positive benefits for their development. There is a saying that goes, ‘there’s no app to replace a parent’s lap’. Continue reading “Reading to children”
One thing I have learnt through the journey of motherhood is that things don’t always go to plan. Continue reading “When things don’t go to plan”
My one word for this year is ‘enough’. As I was writing the post about my one word for the year, I pondered how it’s a great word for children as well. Many years ago, when I was working on an Easter talk early one morning, my son woke up and came down to see me. He was obviously reading some of my talk and asking me about it. I must have written something about the hollow Easter eggs being just like Jesus’ empty tomb. He said he liked the ‘hollow eggs that were full of God’s love!’.
