What does MOPS mean to you? What difference has it made in your life? I think over my own involvement with MOPS since my daughter was born in 2011. MOPS was a place of refuge where I built long-lasting friendships. Then it became a place where I could bring the unique parts of myself to make a difference for others and grow as a leader. Maybe you can relate and love being a part of your local MOPS group. Perhaps your days of being actively involved with MOPS are over but you still cherish those memories and relationships. We have created the Friends of MOPS Australia program for you. Continue reading “Your opportunity to make a difference- Friends of MOPS Australia”

A call to be ‘All For Love’ for 2022
It’s the end of a long year. It has been filled with ongoing uncertainty, huge challenges, opportunities for creativity and a reminder of the importance of connection with each other. The 2021 MOPS theme ‘Decide to Rise’ was the invitation we gave to MOPS groups- to ‘be strong’, ‘do your work’ and ‘chase joy’. Now, for 2022, we put out the call to be ‘All For Love’. You’re invited to Every Mum Conference
It has been a long season of navigating uncertainty, living smaller and experiencing a little more fear and anxiety than usual. We have the opportunity to declare a time of fresh starts and turning ordinary experiences into extraordinary ones. Trying to do this alone is tough though. We need equipping and community with other mums. This is the reason MOPS Australia is running the very first Every Mum Conference this year, and you’re invited! You just need some ways to make the change possible. Continue reading “Stop checking your phone and be present”

Balancing work and motherhood
Balancing work and motherhood used to be my goal. I searched for that magic number of hours, the flexible work arrangements and the energy to do it all. I never found them. Whether you work simply to pay the bills or because of the passion within you for a particular career, I’m guessing you have experienced this too. Sometimes it can feel like I am dropping the ball in all areas or one is receiving the greater portion of my energy.
Honestly, I have given up on balancing work and motherhood. Balance implies an equal divide of time, energy and resources. Instead, I choose to be fully present wherever I am at that moment. Continue reading “Balancing work and motherhood”
