Your kids won’t recall all the times you fed them and got them dressed for school — but they will remember family traditions or the times you surprised them with something special. Continue reading “Little Memories”

Are you a leader?
Before you quickly answer ‘no’ and move onto read something else, let me suggest to you that as an adult who chooses to get out of bed in the morning, you are a leader! How do I know? Because each one of us is being watched by at least one other person. What we do and say influences that other person. If we are an influencer, we are in fact a leader. Maybe not the leader of an army, maybe not from the platform, from the head of a department, or even the one people see as a leader, but when you choose to put your feet to the floor in the morning, you put yourself in a position of influence. You are immediately available to lead. Continue reading “MOPS Australia Awards 2015”

Comfort To Pass On
About a month ago as I stepped boldly off the deck of our house and I landed on the edge of a concrete block that was hidden by long grass. My foot twisted under me and I was suddenly lying on the cold grass in pain. Continue reading “Comfort To Pass On”
Me? A Leader? I Don’t Think so ….
What do you think when you hear the word “leader”? I confess to being quite resistant – I have always struggled being called a leader. It wasn’t until I was on the MOPS National Management Team that I realised I may be in denial about being a leader. But if I’m honest? I STILL struggle with the label “leader”. In fact, most women I know struggle with it. Don’t believe me? Invite someone to join a “leadership” team, and watch the look of fear in their eyes and the glances for a way of retreat!
