MOPS Awards

MOPS Awards

As a completely volunteer organisation, MOPS Australia is grateful to the many women and men who contribute time and expertise to ensuring the MOPS is a caring, supportive community for mums of little kids.  Each year the MOPS Australia Board acknowledges and honours those who have contributed in exceptional ways to MOPS ministry around Australia, New Zealand and PNG.

The MOPS Awards were introduced in 2006 and a three-tiered system of awards was adopted:

  1. Heart of MOPS Award: up to one award presented annually to a person who has demonstrated unusual commitment to the purpose of MOPS Australia at a state or national level;
  2. Spirit of MOPS Award: up to one award presented annually to a Chartering ministry, church, MOPS Group or supportive business/organisation that is implementing the vision of MOPS in the local community; and
  3. Hands of MOPS Award: up to one award presented annually in each state recognising an individual or individuals in a local region who have made significant contributions to their local MOPS group/ area over an extended period.
  4. MOPPETS Carer 10 Year Service Award: recognises MOPPETS Carers who have served their group as a MOPPETS carer for 10 years or longer.  [all nominees receive an award]
