Start a MOPS Group

How can I start a group in my church?

For more information, download our Start A MOPS Today information kit from the link below:

To maintain the integrity and characteristics of the MOPS ministry, MOPS Australia, Inc. charters groups though local churches of various denominations.  The MOPS Statement of Faith is central to the Charter Agreement and provides the vital spiritual base of the ministry.  Agreement on these basic elements of theology, philosophy and goals is essential.

Steps to Chartering Your MOPS Group:

  • STEP 1 – Information
Start A MOPS Today outlines the MOPS program.  This kit includes the MOPS Statement of Faith and chartering application forms.  Start A MOPS Today may be downloaded above or obtained by contacting us.
  • STEP 2 – Get Support MOPS field staff personnel are happy to assist you through the chartering process.  (They can also send you the Why MOPS? DVD and MOPS brochure if you haven’t yet received them.)  Contact us and we’ll support you through the process.
  • STEP 3 – Charter
On receipt of charter application papers and chartering fee your new MOPS group will receive a charter kit, and access to the MOPS website to download MOPS leadership handbooks and other support material.
  • STEP 4 – Annual Renewal
A charter renewal fee is due by 31 December each year.  This fee covers the cost of providing ongoing support and assistance to the group through the provision of leadership training, a quarterly leadership magazine, regional networking and the availability of products, resources, books and pastoral support.

Groups chartering after July 31 will pay a pro-rata charter renewal fee for the following year.

The MOPS name, handbooks, logo and materials are owned solely and exclusively by MOPS Australia, Inc. and are for the exclusive use of currently chartered MOPS groups.
