Dear MOPS Leaders,

Welcome to the new Australian MOPS website! A big thank you to Catherine and Damon Oehlman for building this site for us. They have lovingly spent hours to bring it to us.

August is the beginning of six MOPS Australia Conferences for 2009. Our conferences will feature the launching of the 2010 theme: ‘Together on Planet Mum.‘ Hopefully you have already or will soon purchase the curriculum materials. The book, ‘Life on planet Mom’ is lots of fun as well as dealing with the serious changes that happen in our relationships when we become a mum. Yes we do change. Relationships change.

Relationships with self, husband, extended family, friends, church and community.

• Introductory Theme DVD to, ‘Together on Planet Mom’
• Curriculum DVD: This is just amazing as many of the folk we have seen before on MOPS International DVDs share intimately about their changing relationships. You and your MOPS mums will love the stories.
• Publicity Template CD: We are waiting to receive some templates in a format we can change for MOPS Australia details. It is however still very useful as is.
• LIFT: Series of sessions at the recent MOPS international LIFT Summit. Something to inspire you.

  I have been praying for you as a leader.

  I believe this theme, ‘Together on Planet Mum,’ will require us to be authentic in our relationship with God and self. It will require an honesty we may not have experienced before with ourselves, God and each other. It is a theme that will move each of us towards the purpose of MOPS… to encourage every mother to realise her potential as a woman, a mother and a leader in the name of Jesus Christ.

  We will be confronted with our own shortcomings in relationships.

  Don’t despair.

  Remember in this year’s theme , ‘Adventures in Mothering,’ we discussed how wide and long, high and deep is the love of God. It’s time to plunge into that love and experience the love and strength of God moving us forward and making up for our shortcomings.

  I am praying that each of us will, ‘go there,’ before we attempt to lead our MOPS mums into that trusting place with God for our relationship challenges. This is how we will realise our potential as women, mums and leaders. This is how our MOPS mums will realise their potential.
